I recently saw Todd at Cornerstone Wellness Center, and it ended up being really helpful! I was skeptical at first, but figured, what the heck.. it’s worth a shot! Todd actually explained to me that what I was experiencing was considered an “adjustment disorder,” which really put things into perspective & helped reassure me that I could get through the hurdles which I was experiencing. He gave me practical strategies to handle stress & was a nice, listening ear to vent to. I walked away with some simple ways to add more joy to my life too, which was a nice bonus. It was definitely worth it, and definitely recommend!!

Dr. Zeh was very nice and didn't feel intimidated when I met her. Listens and gives you feedback , and didn't make me feel I was beneath her.

I have been going to counseling for over two years and my experience has been amazing.

Two thumbs up. My therapist is helpful and supportive. The staff is very nice as well. I would recommend Cornerstone Psychological
Cornerstone Psychological Services is a professional mental health group dedicated to providing quality psychological services tailored to the individual’s needs. Core clinical services include individual, family and group psychotherapy for a wide range of psychological problems. Often families are referred by their physicians. Problems such as depression or attention deficit are best treated by a combination of medical intervention and cognitive behavioral intervention. Often individuals suffering from chronic illness or chronic pain benefit from multi-disciplinary treatment which includes a psychologist. If someone in your family is experiencing one of the following, talk with your physician about a referral.
There are many ways to pay for the mental health treatment you receive. You may pay out of your own pocket at a discounted rate. If you do, you will be free to select the provider that best matches your needs. With your therapist, you may make treatment decisions in a safe and confidential environment and you will have no interruptions in care.
Our staff is well known in northeast Ohio for specialized training in pediatric psychology and in helping children recover from trauma. Staff members have expertise in assessing attention deficit and underachievement. Cornerstone is one of the few mental health centers that offer services for the very young child who may be experiencing developmental or behavioral problems.
Often, we look back on childhood and adolescence as a happy time without the responsibilities of work and family. Childhood can be a happy time, but children as well as adults can develop mental health problems. Symptoms of anxiety and depression in children differ from those found in adults. In children, these problems may present themselves as misbehavior, withdrawal from the family, isolation from peers or school failure. What may seem like misbehavior or laziness may be related to an underlying biological or stress-related problem. One source of information is your child’s teacher or school counselor. Because school personnel see many children and adolescents, they are in a good position to help you distinguish between a normal developmental problem and something more serious. In some cases, schools will be able to offer diagnostic and intervention services. In other cases, teachers or school counselors might suggest an outside assessment.
If your child is experiencing one of the following symptoms, you may wish to talk with the school counselor or another mental health professional:
• Inability to concentrate at school
• Inability to control sad or angry moods
• Anxious or avoidant behavior
• Chronic fatigue or irritability without medical cause
• Avoiding certain activities because of anxiety
• Poor school performance or School refusal
• Troubled peer relationships
• Withdrawal from family activities and/or family relationships
• Poor social skills
• Low self-esteem
• Chronic worries or intrusive thoughts
• Development that seems much slower or very different from age-mates
• Discipline problems that do not seem to respond to parent guidance
As parents, we believe we can protect our children from everything, solve everything and make things right for our children. When things go wrong for our children, we blame ourselves. Sometimes, out of frustration, we respond to them with anger. A skilled child clinician knows that counseling is a way of increasing a family’s tools for addressing a child’s problems. It will never be a substitute for your good parenting. A child specialist can help you analyze a problem in a way that goes beyond “common sense” approaches to discipline, mood swings, underachievement, etc. The counselor is a specialist in the diagnosis of mental health problems and in teaching techniques that help children. You will always be the specialist in understanding your own child.
If you or someone you know is experiencing one of the following symptoms, you may wish to talk with a mental health professional:
• Chronic fatigue and irritability without medical cause
• Overwhelming feelings of sadness or anger
• Inability to concentrate at work
• Disruption in sleeping or eating patterns
• Avoidance of certain activities due to anxiety
• Repetitive worries or intrusive thoughts
• Difficulty maintaining intimacy in relationships
Appointments are generally scheduled by your individual therapist. Our secretary is also available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. till 4 p.m. to assist you in scheduling appointments. The standard appointment time is 50 minutes, although this may vary with individual circumstances.
Office hours are by appointment, evening and weekend hours are available. For a confidential discussion of possible services, call the Cornerstone office closest to you. Our Intake Coordinator will take basic information and a qualified mental health professional will call you back to discuss your needs.
If you must cancel an appointment, please do so at least 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged a fee.
During non-business hours our phone is answered by an answering service. In the event a client of Cornerstone is experiencing an emergency, the answering service will contact one of the Cornerstone staff who will return the client’s call as soon as possible.
The privacy of information exchanged with your therapist in the course of diagnosis and treatment is protected by HIPAA.
HIPAA stands for the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. It's a federal law enacted in 1996 that primarily focuses on protecting the privacy and security of individually identifiable health information. Our systems and staff are certified as HIPAA Compliant.
The law also requires your therapist to break confidentiality with or without your permission if you or someone else is at risk of serious harm. You and your therapist may decide together that it is in your best interest for Cornerstone to exchange information with another party. In that case, your therapist will ask for written consent.
All therapists at Cornerstone have a Masters Degree or a Doctoral Degree in psychology or a related field. We encourage you to talk with your therapist about his/her training. All therapy is conducted or supervised by a licensed psychologist and you have the right to request a consultation with the supervisor if you have questions.
At Cornerstone, the standard charge for an out-of-pocket Diagnostic Interview is $250. Subsequent sessions are as follows:
Individual – 38 – 52 minutes - $150
Individual – 53 – greater $200
Family – 45 – 50 minutes $120
Psychological assessments may involve additional charges. Complex situations requiring more than one therapist may also involve additional charges.
It is your responsibility to contact your insurance carrier(s) prior to initiating treatment to clarify the limits of your coverage. Some insurance companies have special requirements or limitations. Payment is due at the time of service. As a service to you, we can file your primary insurance claims. Please remember that you are ultimately responsible for the cost of service.
A statement of your account, which will include current charges, any balance forward, personal payments and insurance payments, will be sent to you on a monthly basis. If you have not paid anything on your balance for four months, the account will go to collections. If you have questions about your bill, please call during business hours. If the entire balance cannot be paid in full, please contact the office to arrange for regular monthly payments.
We recommend that you ask your insurance carrier the following questions to help you determine what coverage you may have: Is out patient psychotherapy covered by my policy? Do I need pre-authorization before scheduling my first appointment? What percentage will my insurance cover for each charge? Are there limits, individual deductibles or family deductible which restrict my coverage? Am I restricted as to the type of professional I can receive psychotherapy from (e.g., licensed psychiatrist, licensed psychologist only)? Can my major medical coverage (when applicable) be applied to this type of service?
